We are seeking a Senior IT Monitoring Specialist to support and enhance monitoring operations within a major EU institution based in Brussels.
You will join a high‑impact Operations Centre responsible for ensuring the stability, security and performance of critical IT services across hybrid on‑premise and cloud infrastructures.
Responsibilities
The task scope covers:
* Daily operation and optimisation of monitoring and APM tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Icinga, Splunk).
* Designing monitoring architectures: evaluating market alternatives, running PoCs, and testing in pre‑production.
* Implementing new solutions: migrating systems to production, defining procedures, training operators, and configuring/customising tools.
* Improving operational quality: defining metrics, tracking performance, and proposing efficiency enhancements.
Requirements
* Log Management / Data Monitoring / AI / ML
* Application Performance Monitoring (APM)
* Microservices & Container architectures
* Cloud-based applications and services
* DevOps, AIOps, ITIL methodologies
* Network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, switches, firewalls, proxies, DNS)
* Data Centre infrastructure (servers, VMs, storage)
* Customer-facing IT services
* Data mining, IT metrics, reporting
* IT infrastructure performance (fault, capacity or security management)
* Monitoring & Log Management tools, such as:
* Splunk
* Icinga
* AppDynamics
* Dynatrace
* Other requirements:
* EU Citizenship.
* Resident or available to relocate to Belgium.
