AssignmentsWe are looking for a System Engineer – Hydraulic Actuation to join a key player in the automotive industry.
As part of the system engineering team, you will play a central role in the development of hydraulic systems and power shift modules/clutches, covering the full V-cycle, from specification to validation.
Your main responsibilities include:Decomposing product-level technical requirements into (sub-)system specifications and architectures, ensuring compliance follow-upManaging and updating Critical-to-Function (CTF) itemsDriving technical decision-making with clear communication across multidisciplinary stakeholders and customersConducting system-level V-cycle testing, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure reliability, safety, and performancePreparing and maintaining technical documentation and specificationsCollaborating with cross-functional teams (embedded software, mechanical, hydraulic, materials engineering) to ensure seamless system integrationPerforming system analysis, modelling, and simulation to validate performance against industry standardsParticipating in design reviews, FMEAs, and risk assessmentsLeading system issue investigations ( 8D/QRQC ) across development, serial life, and aftersales phasesSupporting the development of Functional Safety and Cybersecurity requirements
The Profile
BackgroundYou hold a Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent by experience.
Must HaveMinimum 5 years of experience, preferably in an automotive engineering environmentStrong technical background in mechanical engineering (design & manufacturing), with the ability to bridge software and controls strategiesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience with structured problem-solving methodologies: 5W2H, 8D, Six SigmaFluent in English (oral and written)Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
Nice to HaveProficiency in system engineering tools: Matlab, Simulink, Minitab, Vector CANapeExperience with requirement management tools such as Polarion
