Join us and build a brighter future!About The RoleAs a software engineer, you are part of the Codabox Sourcery team — a cross-functional group of five people within the larger Codabox development organization, which consists of 25 team members. You are responsible for designing and building the solution, including back-end and front-end development, infrastructure (IaC), quality assurance and continuously improving the software development and delivery process. Every software engineer has their own specialty, for example infrastructure, security or databases.ResponsibilitiesTake the lead in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications to solve business problems.Identify bottlenecks and optimize software programs to improve overall performance and efficiency.Lead the design of innovative and user-friendly software applications that align with customer needs and industry standards.Create comprehensive testing routines and procedures to ensure the reliability and accuracy of software applications.Collaborate with others to troubleshoot and resolve complex information technology issues that may arise during development.Your Profile (Qualifications)5+ years of professional experience in Golang, Python or Java.Experience with microservices architecture and API design with REST or GraphQL.Proficiency with provisioning tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Pulumi or similar.Proficiency with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).Comfortable using Git, CI/CD pipelines, IDEs and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, Slack.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French is a plus. passion for developing enterprise applications and a DevOps mindset: "Your build it, you run it".Enjoy working in a small agile team and are eager to learn and share knowledge through pairing or software teaming.Open-minded to learn new techniques, languages and tools.
