Freelance Cloud Project Manager - NATO CLEARED - Long Term
The Cloud Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of key cloud acceleration initiatives within an Enterprise Architecture function. The role ensures alignment across technical and strategic stakeholders while driving progress toward secure and compliant cloud adoption across the organization.
Responsibilities
* Plan and execute cloud initiatives, managing timelines, resources, and budgets to meet strategic objectives.
* Lead collaboration across technical teams, business units, and external partners to ensure alignment and delivery success.
* Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to policies, including security accreditation of information systems.
* Coordinate and support key boards and committees, and represent the architecture function in cloud-related discussions.
* Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating workshops and resolving complex challenges.
* Deliver clear briefings and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
Qualifications
Mandatory
* 5+ years’ experience in cloud adoption and digital transformation within secure or regulated environments
* Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) with knowledge of ITIL, IT governance, and change management
* Active SECRET-level security clearance (or equivalent)
Desired
* Knowledge of security accreditation and compliance frameworks
* Experience in complex, multi-national environments with strong stakeholder management
* Background in on-premise or air-gapped cloud environments
* Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and IT service management
