Finance Lead
The Job
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic intrapreneur to join our team as a Finance Lead. You work directly with the CEO and COO of the company. You will play a vital role in overseeing and managing a diverse range of financial and operational responsibilities within our organization, which are instrumental in driving our company's success.
Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Control
* Own day-to-day finance operations: invoicing, payments, cash management, payroll and salary administration
* Coordinate with external accountants, payroll providers, auditors, and tax advisors
* Ensure accurate bookkeeping, cost allocation, and financial compliance
* Maintain strong internal controls and clean audit trails
Reporting, Planning & Analytics
* Produce monthly management reporting (P&L, cash runway, KPIs)
* Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario modelling
* Track burn rate, capital efficiency, and project-level financial performance
* Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for management
Fundraising & Non-Dilutive Capital
* Support equity fundraising rounds: financial models, data rooms, due diligence
* Lead financial preparation for grants, subsidies, and public funding
* Support debt instruments, loans, and alternative financing where relevant
* Interface with investors, banks, and public funding bodies as needed
Business & Financial Strategy
* Contribute to long-term financial and business planning
* Perform market analysis, pricing logic, and go-to-market economics, identify trends, assess market potential
* Evaluate competitive landscape, strategic options, partnerships, and investment cases
* Stress-test strategic decisions through financial and operational lenses, using data-driven insights
Project Management and Strategic Sparring Partner
* Ownership of key R&D, regulatory, and market-access projects
* Align budgets, timelines, and resources across teams
* Act as a reliable point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
* Serve as a trusted finance partner to the CEO and COO
* Support corporate governance activities, including organizing and facilitating board meetings, preparing meeting materials.
Your Profile
You have a:
* Master’s degree or MBA in Finance, Economics, Commercial engineering, Business or similar.
* 3 years of experience.
* You have the several of following skills:
* Strong foundation in accounting, financial control, and cash management
* Hands-on experience with payroll, invoicing, and monthly close
* Comfortable working with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors
* Proven ability to build and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
* Strong scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis skills
* Able to translate financial data into clear management insights
* Experience supporting equity fundraising, grants, and/or debt financing
* Familiar with investor expectations, due diligence processes, and data rooms
* Understanding of non-dilutive funding mechanisms in biotech or medtech is a plus
* Strong analytical mindset with an interest in markets, pricing, and business models
* Ability to assess strategic options and support decision-making with financial logic
* Comfortable operating in uncertainty and fast-changing environments
* Good communication skills, both written and verbally
* Entrepreneurial, solution-oriented and precise.
* Structured and reliable project manager with strong follow-through
* Able to coordinate across functions and manage multiple priorities in parallel
* Clear, concise communicator with both technical and non-financial stakeholders
* Entrepreneurial, ownership-driven, and highly hands-on
* Comfortable in a lean scale-up environment where roles evolve
