Job Description
As a Logistics Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating daily operations within our warehouse and shipping team. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate product distribution and shipping while compliant with safety & trade regulations. You will lead, coach and develop a team to achieve operational objectives and maintain high level of satisfaction for both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse & shipping staff to meet performance and safety & compliance standards.
* Conduct daily team briefings, delegate work assignments, and provide clear instructions.
* Achieving high level of customer satisfaction and quality through excellence in receiving, storage, dispatching and shipping of goods
* Organize regular stock control, quality checks, and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
* Responsible for proper monitoring and execution of (customs) administration and archiving the files in order to ensure a smooth administrative processing;
* Communicate effectively with other departments (e.g., logistics, inventory, operations, Trade Compliance, customer service) as well as external partners (e.g., Forwarders, Customs, Transport companies).
* Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times.
* Train new employees on warehouse & shipping procedures and company policies.
* Measuring and reporting the effectiveness and efficiency of warehousing activities and take appropriate actions for improvement.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to improve warehouse & shipping processes.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a warehouse and shipping/ expedition environment within a supervisory role.
* Bachelor’s degree is preferably within Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Administration or equivalent professional experience.
* Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and safety standards. Experience with bar coding and bar code scanning implementation within a parts environment is a strong plus.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to motivate, coach, discipline, and support team members effectively.
* Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in both Dutch and English is must.
* A valid forklift license is required.
