We are looking for an inspiring discovery scientist to drive innovation and development of our pioneering lentiviral vector therapeutic platform. Join us in shaping the future of cell and gene therapy with your expertise in viral vector engineering, gene editing, CAR and TCR T cell engineering or myeloid immunobiology in cancer. Accountabilities Independently design, plan and execute research development studies for the establishment and advancement of the product pipeline at EsoBiotec. Design and optimize new lentiviral vectors for in vivo gene therapy. Manufacture, characterize, and evaluate new lentiviral vectors in vitro and in vivo models. Coordinate studies with other team members, analyze and present data internally and externally to collaborators as needed. Execute research timelines to meet program and corporate objectives. Manage external stakeholders (research institutes/centers, suppliers, and service providers) and represent the company externally at scientific conferences. Essential Skills/Experience PhD degree in Immunology, Molecular/Cell Biology, Biochemistry or Virology with a minimum 4-year post doc or industry experience required. Strong academic or industry research background and track record of the following area is a must: ​- Viral vector engineering Strong scientific/technical writing and communication skills in English is required. Excellent organization and data analysis skills are a must. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities while meeting project objectives on schedule. Autonomous, must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, flexible, and have a “do-what-it-takes” attitude. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Desirable Skills/Experience Strong preference for lentiviral vectors.
