Project description
You will join the JUMP program, which transitions client's decentralized SAP ECC systems to a centralized S4HANA environment. As senior consultant in the Controlling stream, A deep understanding and demonstrated experience of the integration between Controlling and Manufacturing is required. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to deliver a robust and scalable controlling solution.
Primary Tasks and responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end SAP CO implementation within the JUMP program
• Ensure integration of Controlling processes with other SAP domains (FI, MM, PP)
• Design and document CO blueprint, architecture and conceptual models
• Analyze and optimize cost center accounting, internal orders, product costing, and profitability analysis
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions
• Ensure coverage of inventory valuation and variance handling
• Maintain structured documentation and overview of open topics and tasks
• Work within custom-built and template-based SAP environments
• Support change requests and tickets when project workload allows
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior consultants if applicable
Technical profile requirements
• Minimum 7–10 years of hands-on experience in SAP CO projects
• Proven experience with E2E SAP CO implementations and cross-domain integration
• Strong knowledge of inventory valuation and variance handling
• Experience in structured documentation and blueprinting
• Debugging skills are preferred
• Familiarity with custom-built and template-based SAP environments

Methodology/Certification requirements
• Minimum bachelor's degree in information technology, Finance, or related field
• SAP certification is an advantage
• Experience is more important than certification
Language proficiencies
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• French: strong asset
• Dutch: preferred for local Hoboken site
• Very international working environment
Location
• Umicore sites in Hoboken and Brussels
• Minimum 3 days/week onsite presence required
• No travel expected for this role
Contract
• Start date: ASAP, latest onboarding by 31/10
• Initial contract until end of 2025
• Potential extension into 2026 and Q1 2027 depending on program timelines
