Position Overview
Lab Analyst I – Cabo Verde Laboratories, Manaus manufacturing hub. Execute laboratory services in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and other applicable standards, ensuring quality, disposition, and continuous analysis of manufacturing and shipment of finished products.
Responsibilities
- Collect, identify, and manage samples until disposal after the retention deadline as per company requirements and internal documents.
- Conduct analytical processes for water, raw materials, packaging, finished products, and intermediates following established procedures.
- Transfer analytical results to the SAP system.
- Analyze proficiency test samples (check sample).
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Fill control charts and report deviations.
- Utilize quality tools such as risk analysis, PDCA, and others.
- Identify deviations from management systems or procedures, and implement corrective actions.
- Apply knowledge gained from training and evaluations.
- Implement actions and contribute to the continuous improvement of the laboratory management system.
- Apply requirements specified in KORE documents for each activity.
- Apply requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and INMETRO obligations.
- Participate in the validation of analytical methods, drafting protocols, performing analyses, and preparing reports.
- Provide training and development for other laboratory analysts and technicians.
- Control non-conforming materials.
- Investigate and analyze causes of analytical or operational issues, including raw materials, packaging, intermediates, and finished products.
- Coordinate inventory processes for laboratory stocks and reagents according to applicable regulations.
- Review ETQ documents.
- Conduct shelf-life extension of materials.
- Administer and send materials.
- Assess analytical result trends and indicators.
- Perform other related professional activities as directed by immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- Risk analysis knowledge.
- Knowledge of chemical processes.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge.
Education
- Complete higher education in Chemistry, Sciences, Quality Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Pharmacy, or equivalent fields.
Language Requirements
- English and/or Spanish – Basic level.
