About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Modular Construction Project Manager to oversee a major data center construction project in Mons. Reporting directly to the Management, you will act as the primary liaison between our company and the data center construction site.
In this pivotal role, you will manage the Logistical Leader and Technical Leader and ensure the timely installation of modules by the client's subcontractors. Your main objective is to guarantee that the project meets its goals within the specified time, budget, and defined specifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Strategy
Assist in schedule development: Define clear objectives and deliverables while forecasting necessary material and human resources.
Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation plans to ensure project continuity.
Deadlines: Organize the work efficiently to strictly meet project deadlines.
2. Coordination & Leadership
Liaison with General Contractor: Coordinate all activities with the General Contractor, ensuring smooth communication between different teams and stakeholders.
Clarify Roles: Ensure every team member understands their specific roles and responsibilities
Team Supervision: Manage and support the Logistical Leader and Technical Leader in their daily tasks.
3. Financial Management
Budget Monitoring: Manage project costs, track expenses, and strictly adhere to budget limits.
Change Management: Handle "extras," including their valuation and presentation to the client for approval.
4. Reporting & Communication
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on project progress, documenting all decisions made and issues encountered.
Meetings: Participate in daily and weekly meetings with the client and the General Contractor.
Problem Solving: Address issues that arise during the project and find effective, solution-oriented outcomes.
Requirements
Education: Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electromechanics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: minimum 5 years of experience in project coordination.
Specific experience in at least 2 data center installations/constructions is mandatory.
Languages: Proficiency in English and french is required.
