Overview


PM Group are seeking an experienced Construction Engineer - Logistics to join our pharma construction project team in Ghent, Belgium.

Responsibilities

1. Plan and coordinate complex logistics operations for pharmaceutical construction activities including material deliveries, equipment transport, and site access management
2. Develop comprehensive logistics strategies for specialized pharmaceutical equipment including cleanroom components, process equipment, and sensitive instrumentation
3. Manage construction site layout optimization to ensure efficient material flow while maintaining contamination control and cleanroom integrity requirements
4. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation companies to schedule deliveries according to construction sequences and critical path activities
5. Oversee warehousing, storage, and material handling procedures for pharmaceutical-grade materials requiring specific environmental conditions and traceability
6. Implement inventory management systems and material tracking protocols to ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulatory requirements
7. Coordinate crane operations, heavy lift activities, and specialized equipment installations for process equipment and infrastructure components
8. Manage site access controls, security protocols, and visitor management systems to maintain pharmaceutical facility security standards
9. Develop contingency plans for logistics disruptions and coordinate alternative solutions to maintain project schedule adherence

Qualifications

10. Minimum 5 years' experience in construction logistics coordination, preferably within pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments
11. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical construction requirements including cleanroom logistics, contamination control, and GMP compliance during construction
12. Experience with project scheduling software, logistics management systems, and material tracking technologies
13. Understanding of heavy equipment transport, rigging operations, and specialized equipment installation procedures
14. Excellent organizational and communication skills for coordinating multiple stakeholders and complex delivery schedules
15. Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry regulations and quality standards affecting construction logistics and material handling
16. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
