Responsibilities
Developing an integrated and consolidated application architecture for the projects within the strategic roadmap to ensure proper exploitation and to ensure applications of good usability and sustainable quality. This includes:
Take a leading role in identifying and structuring applications, application components and application functions that support the cross‐functional processes in the broader organization
Creating a product catalogue and a logical application landscape, including an overview of the products and their mutual relationships
Maintaining and updating these architecture deliverables to ensure their continuity in order to meet the needs and efficiency of the information systems
Develop, optimise, and monitor intermediate and target architectures, both project‐specific and at enterprise level
Concretise the target architecture, together with business and IT, in line with the strategic objectives of the organization
Supporting strategic decisions through impact analyses, scenario development and the provision of correct, essential and sufficient information
Contribute to business cases (e.g. Buy vs. Build), RFPs, defining master plans and programs, and realising proofs of concept
Contribute to the development of transformation roadmaps, including architectural dependencies, risks, and priorities
Monitoring the architectural quality of IT solutions, in collaboration with application architects and project teams
Translate, apply, and disseminate generally accepted Application Architecture standards to the various teams, taking into account internal transformation processes and other applicable standards within the company
Supporting other roles (architects, IT project managers, functional analysts, developers, etc.) in applying architectural principles, standards and reference models
Targeted coaching of other architects
Supporting collaborative initiatives within Social Security (eGov 3.0, etc.)
Technical and generic competencies
Experience in setting up, implementing, and monitoring IT architecture governance and application architecture
Analytical and strategic thinking: able to perform impact analyses, evaluate scenarios, and substantiate decisions
Able to evaluate legacy applications, develop migration plans, and guide integration into new platforms
Possess the necessary technical expertise to engage constructively and substantively with IT experts
You have the necessary leadership skills to involve your stakeholders in architectural governance and decision‐making
You are an excellent communicator, you provide structure for your stakeholders, and you work systematically
Experience in change management: you can guide transformations and effectively manage resistance
Collaborative: works effectively with various roles (architects, project managers, business analysts, developers) and encourages cross‐domain collaboration
Autonomy and results‐oriented
Advantages: Experience in the public sector, knowledge of pensions and the Belgian social security system
