Job Description
Energy Business division is responsible for defining, leading the development, and deploying new energy products and services related to the ownership and use of BEV and PHEV in TME markets.
These include services like “Vehicle to Grid,” enabling Toyota and Lexus customers to use and monetize their BEV or PHEV as energy storage. Customers can buy and store electricity during low-price hours and resell or use it during high-price hours. The team shall:
1. Define a compelling value proposition and customer journey, aligned with Product Strategy and Marketing, with ongoing benchmarking against energy and software companies.
2. Secure technical development of energy products/services, leading engineering workgroups with TME R&D, VC, ITD, CT, and external stakeholders to define and implement necessary features in Toyota BEV/PHEV, EV charging solutions, and customer apps.
3. Ensure deployment in TME markets, coordinating with Sales and NMSCs, preparing retail channels, and establishing support infrastructure.
Your Responsibilities
* Define technical requirements based on customer value propositions and journeys.
* Align with technical teams on system architecture.
* Coordinate development scope, budgets, and timelines.
* Follow up to ensure quality, timely, and within-budget delivery of technical solutions.

Your Profile
* Fluent in English (TME’s business language).
* Significant experience in system engineering of complex products/services with distributed software components and multiple digital interfaces.
* Experience in coordinating cross-functional, multicultural teams to deliver technical artifacts.
* Skilled in discussing and negotiating technical solutions with external stakeholders.
* Ability to visualize and communicate complex technical matters simply for reporting issues and risks to management.
