Overview Senior ServiceNow professional responsible for populating and maintaining ServiceNow CMDB/CSDM, creating Service Maps, and enabling ITOM Event Management. This role focuses on aligning Service Models with CSDM standards, enabling automated population of the "Managed by" attribute, and fostering broader ServiceNow adoption across the organization.
Responsibilities
Engage with infrastructure and application teams to understand Configuration Items (CIs) and how they are managed.
Propose a technical services implementation in ServiceNow using CSDM, ensuring that the "Managed by" attribute of CIs is automatically populated.
Review existing Service Models in ServiceNow and align them with CSDM standards and ServiceNow best practices.
Identify and resolve constraints related to Service Mapping implementation.
Create service maps through Tag-Based or manual mapping approaches.
Prepare value cases and analyses for ITOM Event Management.
Maintain or develop new functionalities based on needs analysis.
Enhance and maintain integrations with other infrastructure components.
Provide user support, training, and demos.
Support the broader adoption and expansion of ServiceNow across the organization.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in populating, managing, and utilizing ServiceNow CMDB/CSDM with Dynamic CI Groups.
Hands-on experience in creating Service Maps (manual and Tag-Based) with ServiceNow Service Mapping.
Experience with automated Service Map creation in ServiceNow.
At least 5 years of experience in functional analysis.
Motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic about the ServiceNow ecosystem.
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, process owners, and management.
Willingness to learn, open to feedback, and quick to seek assistance when needed.
Clear and structured communicator, both within and outside the team.
Flexible and adaptable, able to handle shifting priorities and tasks (including incident support).
Strong analytical skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
Solution-driven, capable of achieving sustainable outcomes through constructive dialogue with stakeholders.
ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM expertise; broad ServiceNow platform knowledge; scripting.
Service Mapping and Discovery knowledge.
