Goodman is evolving as a prominent player in both logistics and data centre real estate and the dynamic energy landscape. As we navigate this transformative journey, we are actively looking to reinforce our team with a Technical Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for technical due diligence, elaborating new building design, building permit application processes, tendering infrastructure and construction works and end-to-end management of technical execution. Next to that your technical expertise will be a critical asset in our transition from a pure play real estate company to an integrated real estate and energy services business.
More concretely, this means you will get the opportunity to
* Assess the technical potential of landbank opportunities;
* Performing technical and environmental due diligences on to be acquired brownfield sites;
* Technical lead on the technical design of new building concepts (e.g. datacenters, multi-level logistics real estate, etc);
* Lead the building design process in collaboration with customers, architects, advisors and other stakeholders;
* Drive the permitting process, including supervision of all required documentation, negotiating with local authorities in this regard, with the overall aim to secure permits as effectively as possible;
* Lead contractor tendering including contract negotiation and manage construction projects end-to-end;
* Prepare all technical documentation and specifications as well as cost estimates to be used during the commercial process;
* Support all power and energy related works, including upgrading of grid connections and roll-out of new energy infrastructure (batteries, PV, EV charging etc);
Do you recognize yourself?
* Holding a Master degree as civil engineer (construction) or equivalent based on experience;
* Demonstrated experience of at least five years in managing, advising or engineering large scale and complex construction projects;
* Experience on power, energy or utility projects is a plus;
* Combine technical expertise and strong project management skills, ability to coordinate and work on several projects simultaneously;
* Self-propelled entrepreneur and deal-maker with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Highly success and results-oriented;
* Strongly developed sense of responsibility, feeling for financial results, risk management, quality, anticipation, organization and planning;
* Fluent in English, conversational in Dutch, knowledge of French is a plus.
