As Assistant General Manager, you will work as part of the property on-site team, reporting to the General Manager and collaborating with Housekeeping, Maintenance & the sales & marketing teams.
What will your mission be? 🚀
The Assistant General Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing the operations of new aparthotel openings. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will assist in driving operational excellence, financial performance, and guest satisfaction.
· Operational Support:
o Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and address any operational challenges promptly. including scheduled weekend coverage as part of operational needs
o Support the implementation of standard operating procedures and quality control measures.
· Guest Satisfaction:
o Ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction by maintaining quality standards and addressing guest feedback promptly and effectively.
o Oversee guest services and ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times.
· Financial Management:
o Assist in managing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and implementing cost control measures.
o Support the General Manager in preparing financial reports and performance analysis.
· Sales and Marketing:
o Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute strategies to drive occupancy and revenue.
o Support promotional activities and community engagement efforts to enhance the aparthotel’s brand presence.
· Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
o Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
· Vendor and Supplier Management:
o Assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
o Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
o Coordinate service delivery from third parties, and report on SLA and KPI’s to the general manager.
· Reporting and Communication:
o Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance and key metrics to the General Manager.
o Act as a liaison between different departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
· Complete tasks as assigned by your manager, and other special projects as assigned.
What are we looking for? 🕵️♀️
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in a management role within the hospitality industry, preferably with experience in aparthotels or serviced apartments.
· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
· Proven track record of successfully managing hotel or aparthotel operations, including pre-opening experience.
· Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Spanish and English.
· Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Knowledge of the Madrid hospitality market and local business environment is highly desirable.
