RPG Analyst/Developer (Insurance) – Freelance
A leading insurance client of ours in Belgium are looking for an RPG Analyst/Developer to join for a long term, freelance mission.
You will join a multidisciplinary team where you design, build, test, and deliver RPG solutions on the IBMi platform, supporting both new and existing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain software applications on the IBM iSeries platform, writing RPG code to create and modify programs that perform specific tasks, such as data processing, reporting, and business logic implementation.
* Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, understanding the needs of end-users and designing software solutions that meet those requirements.
* Create, modify, and optimize SQL queries to interact with the database and manage data effectively.
* Maintain and update existing RPG programs. Identifying and resolving issues, optimizing code for performance, and applying patches and updates as necessary.
* Conduct thorough testing of the applications to ensure they function correctly and meet the specified requirements.
Requirements:
* 5+ Years as an RPG Developer
* English speaking
