Our client is a global leader in the consumer and professional products industry, operating across numerous international markets with a portfolio of well-established brands.
For this position, you will join the local commercial team to drive growth and brand activation within a specialized retail channel, a dynamic environment where your work directly shapes the customer and end-user experience in-store.
As Channel Manager, you are the strategic and operational driver behind everything that happens within your channel. Your mission is to grow revenue, profitability, and market share by translating brand and marketing strategies into impactful commercial execution.
Channel Strategy & Planning You own the channel strategy and annual business plan, from vision and budgeting to market analysis and shopper insights. You translate strategic objectives into a clear activation roadmap and ensure flawless execution across the channel.
Develop and implement the channel strategy and annual business plan, including vision, planning, concepts, budgeting, and market insightsTranslate marketing and brand strategies into operational promotional plans across the product portfolioEvaluate promotional initiatives through pre- and post-performance analysis and continuously optimize effectivenessManage channel budgets, priorities, and timelines to maximize return on investmentActivation & In-Store Excellence This role is heavily focused on activation, communication, and execution rather than extensive data analysis. You bring brands to life through best-in-class in-store experiences, promotions, events, merchandising, and point-of-sale visibility.
Drive brand activation initiatives tailored to the specialized retail channelOptimize the in-store experience through merchandising, displays, point-of-sale communication, promotional campaigns, and eventsCoordinate closely with commercial and field teams to ensure strong engagement and execution of activation plansMonitor product availability and support initiatives to maintain optimal stock levels across the channelStakeholder Management & Insights You act as a key link between marketing, sales, account management, analytics, and external partners. You support commercial initiatives, provide actionable insights, and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
Support commercial teams with negotiations, business planning, and retailer partnership development through data-driven recommendationsCollaborate with analytics teams to translate market, customer, and shopper insights into actionable opportunitiesDeliver regular performance updates, channel reviews, and strategic recommendationsCoordinate cross-functional projects to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable impact About the ideal candidate
You have proven experiencein channel marketing, trade marketing, category management, or sales support within a retail environment, and you know how to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.You are analytically capable and can work with sell-in/sell-out data to shape recommendations, but your real superpower is activation and communication, not spreadsheet marathons.You have experience building and executing channel plans, activation calendars, promotional strategies, and running pre- and post-campaign evaluations.You can managebudgets rigorously and work in a structured way with clear priorities and tight deadlines.You are a natural communicator and coordinator, you thrive at the intersection of marketing, sales, field teams, and retail partners, and you know how to get people excited about a plan.You are hands-on and solution-oriented: when something needs to happen, you make it happen.You have strong Microsoft Office skills; experience with reporting tools like Power BI is a plus.You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English
