Your role and responsibilities
The Indirect Procurement IT Category Buyer will play a key role in overseeing TVH’s indirect IT spend, which includes all sourcing, category management and consumption management across all our Information Technology categories including but not limited to IT (managed) services, cloud services, hardware and software.
He / She is responsible for managing complex sourcing projects through a disciplined category management process in order to put in place the appropriate solutions to support the organization. The role will manage global spend and be expected to either implement existing or design new (sub)category strategies.
This role is an individual contributor (no direct reports) and reports to the Indirect Procurement Manager. The position is located at our headquarters in Belgium. Consideration may also be given to a hybrid working model.
This role is part of a journey to build out Indirect Procurement at TVH and provides an excellent opportunity to be part of this transformation towards value creation.
1. Continuously perform in depth spend and market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities regionally and/or globally to drive incremental value to the business via savings and improved supplier efficiencies.
2. Support in the development and execution of multi-year savings plans.
3. Drive cost reduction opportunities and activities through savings workshops, negotiations, RFP, alternate sourcing and supplier consolidation.
4. Prepare, assist in and/or lead negotiation with suppliers.
5. Oversee implementation of new suppliers all the way to managing their performance through a structured SRM process.
6. Communicate in a professional and effective way with internal and external stakeholders (management and cross functional teams) in order to ensure the necessary buy-in and effective change management.
7. Develop actionable recommendations based on a clear articulation of options and tradeoffs.
8. Help design, challenge and implement robust and sustainable sourcing strategies and develop internal/supplier relationships that extract maximum value from the current and potential supplier base.
How To Succeed / Your Profile
9. Bachelor/Master Degree (preferably in Business, IT, Finance or Engineering).
10. Minimum of 5 years of relevant Indirect Procurement experience or extensive functional knowledge.
11. Relevant experience with diverse indirect spend categories or IT in particular, such as experience with IT licensing and IT service models.
12. Comfortable with and experience in reviewing contracts from a commercial perspective.
13. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
14. Strong analytical and project management skills.
15. Ability to work in a matrix and multicultural environment.
16. Ability to think strategically.
17. Proficient in English, other European languages especially Dutch and French are a plus.
