To support ongoing financial steering and operational performance, they are looking for an experienced Freelance Business Controller.Role OverviewAs a Freelance Business Controller, you will act as a key financial partner to operations and management. You will provide insight into financial performance, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and help drive profitability and cost optimisation across manufacturing activities.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a financial business partner to plant management and operational teamsAnalyse manufacturing costs, margins, and variances (materials, labour, overheads)Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and rolling estimatesDeliver monthly management reporting and financial performance analysisIdentify cost optimisation and efficiency improvement opportunitiesSupport CAPEX analysis, investment cases, and ROI trackingEnsure financial data accuracy and consistencySupport closing activities in collaboration with accounting teamsPrepare ad‑hoc financial analyses and presentations for managementRequired Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a Business Controller in a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong understanding of cost controlling, standard costing, and variance analysisSolid experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modellingAbility to translate financial data into clear business insightsHands-on, autonomous, and results-oriented mindsetExcellent analytical and Excel skills; ERP experience requiredFluent in English; French is required due to local stakeholdersNice to HavePrevious freelance or consulting experienceKnowledge of Belgian manufacturing operationsExperience working in an international or matrix environmentFamiliarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
