Join to apply for the Director of Value Delivery role at EIT Food. The Director of Value Delivery plays a pivotal role in ensuring that EIT Food achieves maximum value and measurable impact across its portfolio of innovation initiatives, projects, and programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Define, implement, and oversee EIT Food’s value delivery framework, ensuring all projects and initiatives align with organisational goals and deliver measurable impact.
* Drive strategic alignment between programme activities and long‑term priorities and KPIs.
* Focus resources on a high‑impact portfolio of projects that create value at scale, particularly in Resilient Agriculture, Biotech, and Protein Diversification.
* Strengthen connections between innovation‑focused projects and broader activities in Entrepreneurship and Education, ensuring a coherent and synergistic approach.
* Establish clear and transparent methodologies for measuring and reporting impact, and capture key learnings across the portfolio.
* Lead planning, execution, and evaluation of the project portfolio to ensure high performance and maximum impact.
* Identify opportunities to connect complementary innovation solutions and organisations, driving systemic change and realising synergies between projects.
* Oversee project governance, risk management, and resource allocation to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery and value for money.
Programme & Project Portfolio Management
* Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of EIT Food’s project portfolio to ensure high performance and maximum impact.
* Identify opportunities to connect complementary innovation solutions and organisations, driving systemic change and realising synergies between projects.
* Oversee project governance, risk management, and resource allocation to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery and value for money.
Collaboration with Business Development
* Partner closely with the Business Development team to design and deliver successful funding bids and ensure EIT Food has the right capabilities to deliver on its commitments.
* Provide insight into portfolio capacity and priorities, helping shape funding opportunities that reinforce EIT Food’s strategic direction.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
* Lead and develop a high‑performing Value Delivery team, embedding best‑in‑class project and portfolio management practices.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
* Build strong relationships with Strategic and Delivery Partners and the wider EIT Food ecosystem, encouraging collective action toward shared goals.
* Shape and manage project funding frameworks to ensure that investment is effectively translated into real‑world impact.
Qualifications & Experience
* Extensive senior leadership experience in project, programme, or portfolio management within complex, multi‑stakeholder or innovation‑driven environments.
* Proven ability to deliver value and measure impact at both organisational and ecosystem levels.
* Strong understanding of innovation ecosystems, ideally within agrifood, sustainability, or related sectors.
* Demonstrated experience leading diverse, distributed teams across multiple geographies.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
* Strong financial and resource management capabilities, including oversight of large‑scale budgets.

Location & Travel
This role can be based in any of our six locations: Belgium, UK, The Netherlands, Germany, Spain or Poland. Frequent travel within Europe.
