We are looking for a Payroll Expert who is detail‑oriented, reliable, and collaborative to join our Human Resources team, based in our Braine-l’Alleud office in Belgium.
About the role
You will be working in a team that ensures accurate and compliant payroll delivery for our employees. In this role, you will support monthly payroll activities, prepare special payroll cycles, ensure statutory accuracy, and maintain high‑quality data controls. You will contribute to creating a smooth and trustworthy pay experience while collaborating closely with colleagues across Human Resources and the wider organization.
Who you’ll work with
You will be working in a team that partners closely with the Payroll Lead, Human Resources colleagues, and key internal stakeholders. Together, you will ensure precise payroll processing, timely reporting, and adherence to legal requirements and internal standards. You will interact with teams in a supportive, collaborative, and service‑oriented environment where accuracy, communication, and continuous improvement are valued.
What you’ll do
1. Support monthly payroll activities by reviewing data, running controls, and ensuring complete accuracy before approval. This includes revision/loads of data provided by HR/third parties, updating payroll system to reflect changes, complete list of all predefined controls & report deviations
2. Perform scheduled data audits and controls to safeguard payroll integrity.
3. Prepare and execute special payroll closings (e.g., annual bonus cycles, holiday pay, long‑term incentives, …).
4. Produce accurate reports for business needs, such as cost reporting, statutory reporting, …
5. Back-up to maintain and manage time‑tracking system (Protime) for multiple employee groups with varying rules.

6. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
7. Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll with strong knowledge of payroll regulations and employee lifecycle processes.
8. Experience using HR systems (Protime, eBlox is an asset)
9. Strong Excel skills
10. Excellent knowledge of social law, with high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
11. Strong communication skills in French and English, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
12. A service‑oriented mindset, strong organization skills, and the ability to work effectively in a flexible, team‑based environment.
