Job Title: Electrical project engineer
Role Overview:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, coordination, and technical follow-up of electrical aspects across industrial projects, from engineering studies to on-site execution. You will also share responsibility for the instrumentation aspects of the projects. You will ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards while collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and review technical specifications, single-line diagrams, cable routing, loop diagrams, and instrumentation architecture.
* Perform sizing and design of low and medium voltage electrical systems, motor control, power distribution, instrumentation, PLCs, and control systems in line with project requirements, standards, and budget.
* Coordinate engineering tasks with internal teams, subcontractors, and external engineering firms, ensuring technical alignment and project milestones are met.
* Supervise and validate engineering studies and technical documentation (drawings, calculation notes, datasheets), ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.
* Support procurement processes through technical consultations and supplier evaluations.
* Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting on site.
* Ensure adherence to EHS regulations and promote continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
* Prepare clear reports and communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including participation in client meetings.
Profile:
* Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial or energy sectors, preferably including EPC/EPCM project environments.
* Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation design, including experience with electrical diagrams, P&IDs, and automation architectures.
* Familiarity with engineering software tools (e.g., ELEC-CALC, DIALUX) is an advantage.
* Proficiency in English and french is mandatory; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, with an autonomous and proactive mindset.
* Willingness to travel internationally for project needs.
