Local IT Support Officer – Ninove (4/5)
An international leader in the food & beverage production industry is looking for a Local IT Support Officer (4/5) to join their site in Ninove. This company produces and delivers a wide range of consumer products across Europe and North America, working with well-known retailers and brands.
About the Role
As a Local IT Support Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for IT support at both office and production environments. You’ll analyze and resolve end-user incidents, implement customer requests, and contribute to the optimization of IT processes. In addition, you’ll play a key role in supporting IT infrastructure projects and maintaining a seamless link between local operations, IT, and external support providers.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first and second-line IT support for end users on site (office and production).
* Escalate and follow up on incidents with third parties while maintaining strong relationships with internal departments.
* Manage local IT assets: receiving, controlling, on/offboarding, and end-of-life replacements.
* Support hardware/software specific to the plant, including small repairs (e.g., scanners, labeling printers).
* Participate in local IT infrastructure rollouts and projects.
* Collaborate with the IT team to ensure knowledge base updates and SLA compliance.
* Bridge the gap between IT and OT support and facilitate external service visits.
About You
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a system administrator and/or service desk officer.
* Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
* Experience with operational management of Windows Server, user management, NTFS rights, and Active Directory.
* Basic knowledge of network infrastructures (TCP/IP, routers, firewalls).
* Customer-focused, independent, analytical, and solution-oriented.
* ITIL or Microsoft certifications are an advantage.
