Senior Project Manager – Public Sector IT Projects (Hybrid)
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Work Mode: Hybrid (minimum 2 days/week onsite)
Contract Duration: minimum one year contract, with strong prospects of extension.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex IT projects within the public sector. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring alignment with business goals, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Lead project delivery from initiation to completion across infrastructure, data governance, and compliance domains.
* Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and communication strategies.
* Manage risks proactively, implementing mitigation strategies and documenting issues.
* Oversee budget planning, cost control, and financial reporting.
* Ensure effective communication across teams, clients, and senior management.
* Utilize tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage workflows and documentation.
* Support data flow optimization and compliance between public institutions.
* Collaborate with internal IT teams and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
* Minimum of 10 years in project management.
* Proven experience in public sector environments and complex IT projects.
* Strong understanding of public procurement law and regulatory compliance.
* Certifications in PMP, Prince2, ITIL, and SCRUM.
* Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English (C1 level) is mandatory.
* Experience with data exchange frameworks and governance between institutions is a plus.
