We are actively looking for a R&D Consultant Engineer for our Consultancy team in charge of supporting our clients facing the challenge of the energy transition. Thanks to your knowledge and experience, you will be part of a team where ideas will be debated in a multicultural environment. Responsibilities: You will be part of a team of around 10 people with various IT and AI functions; You will be in charge to analyse the client’s needs and write down the specifications; You will listen to the clients to understand the client’s environment and addressing the right solutions accordingly; You will propose new approaches based on optimization and/or machine learning to solve complex problems related to the energy transition; You will accompany our customers for their research and development projects; Manage the development roadmap for underlying products. Act as the point of contact for our clients, DSO/TSO in Belgium and in France; You will accompany our customers for their research and development projects; You will participate in the development of software based on state-of-the-art algorithms; You will provide innovative solutions by proposing ideas that will be discussed in a listening team; You will develop your research, technological and business skills; You will work in a team on innovative projects related to the energy transition; You will benefit from quality coaching and, depending on your skills and results, you will quickly be led to increase your responsibilities. Required Qualifications: You hold or are about to obtain a Master / Engineer degree in engineering, applied mathematics, data science or equivalent studies or equivalent by experience; You have a strong interest in research & development and in the energy sector; You have a good knowledge of optimization algorithms and/or power systems; You have a good knowledge of the Python language; You have a good knowledge of French and English. Knowledge of Dutch is an asset; Curious by nature, you are autonomous and have an analytical mind; Research experience or a PhD in the field of applied mathematics or power system is a plus; Experience in a project or product in at least one of the following areas is also a plus: energy sector, power systems, applied mathematics (statistics, optimization, machine learning, ).
