About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in Belgium, working on a broad range of building construction projects including residential, commercial, and mixed‑use developments. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, analysis, and delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant structural solutions across all project stages.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and calculate structural systems for building projects (concrete, steel, timber, masonry)
* Produce structural drawings, design notes, and technical reports
* Ensure designs comply with Belgian and Eurocode standards
* Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders
* Review and approve shop drawings and technical submissions
* Provide technical support during construction, including site visits and inspections
* Identify and resolve structural design and construction issues
* Contribute to value engineering and sustainable design solutions
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets
Requirements
* Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a structural engineer within building construction
* Strong knowledge of Belgian standards and Eurocodes
* Proven experience with concrete and steel structures (timber experience is a plus)
* Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g. SCIA Engineer, ETABS, SAP2000, RFEM or similar)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Fluent Dutch (spoken and written) – mandatory
* Good command of English; French is an advantage
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
