high-speed conveyor systems, packaging lines, and material handling solutions. Due to increasing project workload, they are looking for an experienced
Freelance Automation Engineer
with strong
Siemens control systems experience
to support commissioning, optimization, and on-site execution. You will work directly on live production environments where uptime, safety, and reliability are critical.
Key Responsibilities PLC programming and modifications on
Siemens TIA Portal (S7-1200 / S7-1500) Commissioning and troubleshooting of
conveyor systems and automated material handling lines On-site support during start-up, ramp-up and production handover Fault finding on sensors, drives, motors, safety circuits and networks Optimisation of cycle times, throughput and system reliability Interface with electricians, mechanical teams and production staff Documentation updates and basic electrical/PLC support
Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as an
Automation / PLC Engineer
in
Food & Beverage, intralogistics, conveyors or packaging Strong hands-on experience with
Siemens PLCs & TIA Portal Commissioning and site-based engineering experience Experience with conveyor systems (rollers, belts, sorters, pallet handling, etc.) Understanding of industrial networks (Profinet, Profibus) Comfortable working in live production environments Ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure
Nice to Have HMI development (WinCC / Comfort Panels) Safety PLC experience (S7 Safety / Profisafe) Drive systems (SEW, Siemens, Lenze, etc.) Food industry GMP / hygiene awareness
