Lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control system for a multidisciplinary industrial construction project (piping, mechanical and electrical & instrumentation), ensuring full compliance with contractual specifications, international codes and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Define, implement and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP).
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes and standards (ASME B31.3, IEC, ISO, etc.).
* Interface with Client, Contractor and Third-Party Inspectors for all quality matters.
* Manage the QA/QC team (inspectors, document controllers, welding inspectors, E&I inspectors).
* Supervise the inspection and test plans (ITP) implementation across disciplines.
* Control and follow-up of:
* Welding procedures (WPS/PQR)
* Welder qualifications
* NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT)
* Material traceability
* Pressure testing
* E&I testing and commissioning activities
* Manage NCRs, punch lists, corrective and preventive actions.
* Monitor and analyse weld rejection rates (WRR) and quality KPIs.
* Ensure proper quality documentation turnover and dossier compilation.
* Coordinate with construction and planning teams to ensure quality activities do not delay construction progress.
Required Qualifications
* Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
* Minimum 10–15 years experience in industrial construction projects.
* Proven experience as QA/QC Manager in EPC or construction projects in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Chemical plants.
* High English level (both speaking and writing)
Strong knowledge of:
* ASME B31.3
* Welding processes and NDT
* Electrical & Instrumentation QA/QC
Certification preferred:
* CSWIP / IWE / CWI
* ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (desirable)
