One of my key clients is currently hiring a ServiceNow ITOM Architect on a long-term freelance basis.
This is a primarily remote role, with occasional collaboration across distributed teams. The successful candidate must be fluent in either French or Dutch, as the role involves close interaction with local stakeholders and delivery teams.
The ITOM Architect will take ownership of the design, architecture, and delivery of ServiceNow ITOM solutions, with a strong emphasis on Discovery and Service Mapping. You will work closely with platform owners, infrastructure teams, and ServiceNow developers to ensure scalable, reliable, and well-governed ITOM implementations aligned to business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the architecture and design of ServiceNow ITOM solutions across complex enterprise environments
* Drive end-to-end ITOM Discovery strategy, including credentials, patterns, schedules, and reconciliation
* Design and implement Service Mapping for business-critical services, ensuring accurate dependency and impact visibility
* Define CMDB architecture, data models, relationships, and governance standards
* Ensure alignment between ITOM, CMDB, Incident, Problem, Change, and Event Management processes
* Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and network teams to onboard servers, applications, and services
* Provide technical leadership and guidance to developers and administrators
* Support troubleshooting, optimisation, and continuous improvement of ITOM capabilities
* Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on ITOM best practices and roadmap decisions
Required Experience:
* Proven experience as a ServiceNow ITOM Architect or Senior ITOM Consultant
* Strong hands-on experience with ITOM Discovery and Service Mapping (essential)
* Solid understanding of CMDB design, data quality, and governance
* Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments
* Ability to work independently in a freelance / contract capacity
* Fluent French or fluent Dutch (mandatory)

* ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS-ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping)
