Job Description
The junior project engineer supports the foreign departments and is responsible for the projects assigned to him/her. The responsibility includes the development of cost prices, designs and optimal warehouse arrangements. He/She also acts as a liaison between the Senior Project Engineer, Stow subsidiaries and Work Preparation.
Tasks and responsibilities
1. Warehouse lay outing to optimum capacity/cost price and according to product specifications
2. Stability calculations according to the current safety and stability standards, valid for the country concerned (assisted by Senior Project or Static Engineer)
3. Calculates the composition of components and calculates a correct quotation price on that basis. A complete technical description must also be prepared
4. In consultation with the head of Engineering, you determine the priorities for files in order to meet the deadlines for drawing up quotations in the department
5. Keeps himself or herself up to date with the evolution of the market in terms of products and customer requirements
6. Communication with suppliers is limited to the technical concept. Price discussions take place via the purchasing department
7. Technical support to sales in terms of technical presentation of the project
Qualifications
Profile
8. Master or Bachelor in Engineering (direction electromechanics, industrial design )
9. Good knowledge of Dutch & English. French and/or German is a plus
10. You have a sense of initiative, you are stress resistant & dynamic
11. You have knowledge of stability & strength calculations
12. You have affinity with materials
13. Good knowledge of MS Office, mainly Excel
14. You are willing to travel abroad when its needed (very limited)
15. You are open for a % office job
