EMEA Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a global manufacturing organization to recruit a proactive and highly organized Plant Director Assistant (60% FTE) .
In this role, you will go beyond traditional administrative support. You will be a vital partner to the Plant Director, ensuring the smooth execution of local operations across our Heist and Aarschot sites.

This is a part-time position (approx. 60%) offering a flexible hybrid setup for candidates based in Belgium and with fluency in Dutch.

While the role involves remote work, regular presence at the company’s facilities is vital to maintain a close connection with local operations, manage on-site tasks, and provide essential backup support for the local plant Leadership support team during vacation periods.

Key responsibilities:
Act as a coordinator for the Plant Director, scheduling difficult meetings, booking meeting rooms for the BLT (Heist and Aarschot), organizing PDCA sessions, and managing Works Council preparatory meetings
Partner with HR to assist with internal events like Town Halls and LeadersConnect. Take the lead on organizing local gatherings, including client visits, St. Nicholas celebrations, staff parties, and family days
Act as the owner of office supplies for the Heist and Aarschot locations. While this role does not require business travel, you will coordinate travel arrangements for others, including assisting employees with visas and corporate Amex processes
Serve as a reliable backup for the local plant Leadership support team (Peggy) to ensure smooth operations during absences
Opportunity to take ownership of the team newsletter and the operational management of lease cars

Key experience required:
Proven track record in an administrative or support role, ideally within a manufacturing, corporate, or local plant environment
A self-starting mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and modern digital planning tools
Native level or fluent professional English and Dutch are mandatory to effectively coordinate local operations and events
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with the utmost integrity
Strong event management and logistical coordination skills
