The Business Unit Tax & Accounting Software develops and sells products for tax and accounting professionals and businesses. Our BU offers a wide range of software solutions: ERP software; accounting, financial and tax advisory, and practice management software.
About the role
We are seeking a strategic and customer-centric Lead Technology Product Manager to drive innovation and transformation across our product suite. This role is pivotal in shaping our modular, API-first future, ensuring our offerings are deeply embedded in the accountant’s & businesses’ workflow and deliver real outcomes—not just software.
You will lead key initiatives, while aligning product development with market trends and customer needs. As a connector across departments and a voice of the customer, you will ensure our products evolve to meet the demands of a rapidly changing landscape.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Portal Ownership: Own the strategy and execution of our cloud-based digital portal, ensuring a seamless and scalable experience.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, IT, UX, and Customer Service to ensure alignment and delivery.
3. Customer Co-Creation: Lead collaborative innovation initiatives with customers to continuously evolve our solutions.
4. Value Proposition Management: Define and manage a cohesive product and service portfolio aligned with strategic goals and customer expectations.
5. Customer Segmentation & Journey Mapping: Develop segmentation models and map customer journeys to tailor offerings and improve relevance.
6. Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct research to inform strategic decisions and maintain competitive advantage.
7. Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics and feedback to guide prioritization and product evolution.
8. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to internal and external stakeholders.
9. Foster an environment that is aligned with the business strategy including innovation, customer intimacy, entrepreneurial spirit and valuing people.
10. Support our commercial and marketing teams on the product rollout process, helping develop. accompanying collateral and working with key customers on adoption of new capabilities
11. Lead experiments and testing of new ideas.

We are looking for someone who
19. Combines an advanced academic background with over 10 years of professional experience, including several years in (software) product management roles.
20. Acts as a connector and collaborator and who is able to build bridges between internal stakeholders (Product Management, Sales, Marketing, IT, UX, Customer Service) and engages directly with clients to uncover pain points and needs.
21. Has a Customer-centric mindset, with a focus on improving the customer journey and delivering integrated solutions that go beyond current product silos.
22. Experienced in journey design and customer segmentation models, with a strong ability to map client needs and translate them into actionable insights.
23. Skilled in value proposition management, ensuring that product and service offerings are aligned with customer expectations and market opportunities.
24. Communicate, collaborate and facilitate ideas and solutions with teams across the business, instilling Product Management best practice.
25. The ability to work effectively across multiple functions, securing agreement and ensuring delivery of agreed outcomes.
26. A true leader – someone who others will buy into and respect as a driving force behind the projects they are accountable for
27. Strategic thinker – able to develop a new/innovative/creative approach/framework to complex problems, situations or opportunities.
28. Strong negotiation and influencing skills - able to influence outcomes and gain the active co-operation of others in the business.

30. Is fluent in Dutch, French and English
You are flexible to work one day per week from our offices in Mechelen, next to that you can work from our offices in Gent, Mechelen or Hasselt in combination with the flexibility to work from home (60%).
