As
Asset Management Supervisor
, you play a key role in safeguarding and optimizing the value of Komatsu's new and used equipment portfolio across Europe and Africa. You are the subject-matter expert on equipment valuation and residual value risk, acting as a trusted advisor to Credit Committees and a key partner for both headquarters and local operations.
You combine market insight, analytical rigor and hands-on asset knowledge to assess risk, support financing decisions and monitor portfolio performance throughout the asset lifecycle.
Your Responsibilities:
Asset Valuation
* Develop a deep understanding of Komatsu equipment, including customer usage and applications.
* Build and maintain strong knowledge of resale values for used Komatsu machines across key markets (France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, UK and Africa).
* Maintain and update country-specific value lines for Komatsu equipment.
* Provide accurate valuations for equipment returning from default and/or end of contract.
* Assess local market add-ons and evaluate investment prices for new finance requests on an ad-hoc basis.
* Evaluate finance requests for new and used equipment.
* Support the improvement and automation of asset gap assessment tools and processes.
Residual Value (RV) Setting & Monitoring
* Act as first point of contact for Komatsu Finance field staff regarding RV assessments.
* Issue clear and well-founded asset risk recommendations to the Credit Committee.
* Validate residual values at contract activation in line with internal policies and procedures.
* Implement and coordinate guarantees for RV risk-sharing arrangements.
* Review RV risk on new business (monthly) and at portfolio level (yearly).
* Assess RV risk provisions and issue quarterly proposals.
* Monitor internal RV models versus actual used equipment market price trends.
* Maintain and enhance the RV calculation tool, coordinating changes and communication with field sales teams.
Asset Monitoring
* Monitor use, condition and location of leased Komatsu equipment through system-based tools.
* Track actual equipment usage versus contractually agreed terms.
Reporting
* Deliver timely and high-quality quarterly and annual asset and RV reviews.
Buy-Back & Risk-Sharing Agreements
* Implement and follow up buy-back commitments and risk-sharing agreements with Komatsu Europe and distributor partners.
Your Profile:
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
* Experience in remarketing within a banking or leasing environment is a plus.
Interests & Expertise
* Strong interest in construction and earthmoving equipment, with genuine curiosity about customer applications and working environments.
* Motivation to build a strong internal and external professional network.
Skills
* Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
* Knowledge of additional European languages is an asset.
* Willingness to travel occasionally, based on business needs.
