Senior Service Manager (Information Technology/Software)
Our client, a leading Software, Information and Communication Technologies company, operates internationally (Athens, Brussels, Luxembourg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, Nicosia, Hong-Kong, Valetta, etc). Our client is a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations and multinational companies, research and academic institutes.
Role Overview
Our client currently has a vacancy for a Senior Service Manager fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Requirements
* Master’s degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of 15 years;
* Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT service outsourcing (or managed services) contracts and associated contract performance for large IT infrastructure services provided to public sector organizations / EU institutions / large private companies;
* Minimum 5 years of experience in management of the contract lifecycle (e.g. integration of new services in the contracts, preparation of renewals of contracts and contract amendments);
* Minimum 5 years of experience in contract performance management;
* Minimum 5 years of experience in IT service management – including the definition of new services with the appropriate parameters, review and reporting, negotiations with the managed service provider and customers;
* Minimum 5 years of experience in ensuring that the managed service provider has properly documented and is applying ITIL processes (e.g. Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Availability Management, etc.);
* Minimum 5 years of experience in project and program management;
* The following certifications are mandatory: PM2 (Project Management methodology) certification and ITIL Foundation certification;
* A security clearance valid at the level of SECRET UE/EU SECRET is required;
* Excellent command of the English and French language.
Responsibilities
* Regular review and assessment of the managed services to identify areas for improvement and optimization;
* Regular review of the achieved versus contractually defined targets, including the calculation of deviation from the target and, if applicable, calculation of the liquidated damages;
* Collaborative planning and decision-making with the managed service company to ensure that the services are designed and implemented to meet business requirements;
* Monitor the performance of the projects delivered;
* Manage diverse projects related to the day-to-day operations of the unit;
* Participate in and coordinate project meetings and related activities;
* Ensure quality of project documentation, meeting minutes, and other relevant documents and deliverables.
