Freelance IT Senior Support Engineer - Mechelen - Need to be Trilingual We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Senior Support Engineer to take on a leadership role in a large Greenfield project focused on the merger of two SMEs in the [specific sector, e.g., logistics, manufacturing]. This project will involve the integration of complex IT systems, infrastructure, and processes, and the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the integration, ensuring seamless migration of technology, systems, and data. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the IT strategy during a high-impact project that will define the future IT landscape of the newly merged organization. Responsibilities: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams during the Greenfield project to ensure smooth integration of IT systems and services across both SMEs. Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of IT support tasks throughout the merger, ensuring alignment with business objectives and deadlines. Provide expert guidance on best practices for IT infrastructure, system integration, and troubleshooting, playing a central role in defining the approach for the combined organization. Act as the senior point of escalation for technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems during the merger process. Resolve complex technical issues and ensure the timely resolution of critical incidents. Ensure that the integration of IT systems between the two SMEs is carried out with minimal disruption to business operations. Lead the integration of hardware, networking, servers, and software systems between the two SMEs, managing the migration of key applications, databases, and services. Assist with the consolidation and harmonization of systems, including the merging of data centers, networks, storage, and communication platforms. Support the integration of IT security and compliance policies, ensuring that both organizations' IT systems meet internal and external regulations and standards. Oversee the configuration, optimization, and ongoing management of combined IT systems, ensuring efficient performance and system reliability. Ensure that systems are integrated effectively into the merged organization’s infrastructure, with minimal downtime and seamless access for end-users. Take the lead on automating and optimizing key IT processes, reducing redundancies and enhancing operational efficiency.
