🎯 Mission
You will focus on cleaning processes for equipment and tools (not environment). You will work with different cleaning technologies across the spectrum from manual to automated cleaning. You typically focus on one or two specific parts of the site and become the expert and SPOC for all cleaning related projects and issues in that specific part of the site. You are expected to deeply understand all technical aspects of the cleaning processes, including hardware and software, as well as the needs and issues of production. You support new product / equipment introductions, lead significant cleaning related improvements, and help ensure operational continuity in production.
📋 Your responsibilities
* Develop, validate and improve cleaning processes for equipment and tools, covering different cleaning technologies from manual to automated cleaning.
* Focus on one or two specific parts of the Heist Production Operations, becoming the expert and first point of contact for all cleaning related projects and issues in that specific part of the site.
* Deeply understand all technical aspects of the cleaning processes, including hardware, software, and the needs and issues of Production, ensuring alignment with production requirements.
* Support all cleaning aspects of new product / equipment introductions and take the lead in realizing pro-actively and reactively significant cleaning related improvements of existing processes using the change control system.
* Prepare and maintain documentation by writing plans, protocols and reports, and execute the studies by taking samples, coordinating with the labs and following up on results.
* Handle deviations and urgencies in production to ensure operational continuity, including occasional changes in day planning, coming to the site when working from home, and performing overtime or early/late shift when required.
* Contribute to cleaning validation compliance through periodic processes, such as paper based reviews and actual sampling programs, ensuring robust and Process and data driven decision-making.
* Over time, build recognized expertise in cleaning validation and be available to act as site topic lead, participating in above site teams with other cleaning validation experts.
👤 What skills do you bring to the table?
* Higher scientific degree (Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bioengineer, Industrial Engineer, …) providing the scientific foundation.
* At least 3 years of relevant experience in validation and/or project management in a GMP production environment. Experience with cleaning validation is a big advantage.
* Hands-on experience in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environments with a flexible attitude, including sporadically an early or late shift, extra hours and weekend work to support business continuity of our production processes.
* Knowledge on operating principles of cleaning and CIP processes is a huge plus, enabling effective support, troubleshooting and optimization of manual and automated cleaning processes.
* Analytical mindset and project-minded approach, working in a process and data driven way with strong problem solving skills to investigate failing validation data and related production issues.
* Excellent communication skills to work effectively with a range of workers, from operators on the shopfloor to IPT directors, to report progress clearly and act as a reliable teamplayer.
* On-the-floor approach and customer focused attitude, combined with influencing skills to align stakeholders on cleaning validation strategies, priorities and implementation activities.
* Fluency in both Dutch and English, ensuring accurate documentation, effective communication in cross-functional teams and participation in above site teams when needed.
