DPAM is looking for a Compliance Officer. You will report directly to the DPAM Head of Compliance (Belgium and International).
Context
As Compliance officer you are familiar with Investment Services and financial products. Knowledge of the Asset Management environment is an asset. In addition you have a strong interest in topics related to compliance risk mitigation and regulatory disclosures.
Your position
The Compliance Officer Will
* Advise our teams with respect to UCITS/AIFM, AML, Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) and/or MiFID Compliance in matters like rules of conduct, product governance, Inducements, personal transactions, Inside Information, etc.
* In collaboration with the stakeholders within the company, provide support and develop effective compliance policies and methodology appropriate to the company and subsidiaries.
* Participate to the Compliance Risk assessment, to the monitoring and reporting of compliance risks
* Be involved in the investigation process related to incidents and take the appropriate actions to support the company.
* Advise and participate in business as well strategic projects.
* Help implement new or updated regulatory requirements, specific financial services or new products from compliance analysis through implementation
* Help organize and deliver training to keep the DPAM’s staff informed of relevant compliance developments in your domain
Your profile
* Minimum 3 years experience in investment services and 2 years in a compliance related function.
* Experience in topics such as funds management, ESG, and review of marketing communication is an asset.
* Excellent communication skills in French or Dutch and English; oral as well as written.
* Ability to report to senior management in a synthetic manner.
* Be able to show diplomacy and be assertive when necessary.
* Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and be an analytical thinker with sound business acumen, objectivity and accountability.
* The ability to translate complex theoretical principles into pragmatic advice
* A team player and relationship builder with a sense of humor.
* Experience with databases in general and financial markets tools (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.) would be an asset
