🎯 Mission
As a Project Engineer Fire Safety & Sprinklers, you serve as the central point of contact for fire protection within various construction projects. You work closely with the insurance advisor on fire safety aspects of ongoing and new projects and coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders to align technical solutions and project objectives. In addition, you are responsible for executing sprinkler projects from initial design through final handover, including basic and detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover You support colleagues by integrating your fire safety expertise into different building projects and contribute to improving existing fire safety standards within the organization.
📋 Your responsibilities
* Act as the SPOC for active and passive fire protection
* Coordinate discussions with the insurance advisor on fire safety for projects and translate these requirements into concrete technical and organizational measures.
* Develop and maintain detailed planning, ensuring timely project delivery within defined budget constraints.
* Integrate your fire safety knowledge into diverse construction projects, providing support to colleagues and contributing to improved fire safety standards.
* Identify opportunities to optimize existing fire safety solutions and propose innovative ideas to enhance active and passive fire protection performance.
* Facilitate discussions with different stakeholders, collect and assess diverse viewpoints, and consolidate them into clear conclusions and decisions.
👤 What skills do you bring to the table?
* You have a higher technical education (graduaat, industrieel of burgerlijk) or equivalent higher technical education relevant to the Fire Safety domain.
* You preferably have at least 1 year of relevant experience within the Fire Safety domain, enabling you to manage both design and implementation aspects effectively.
* You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
* You have knowledge of various applications and techniques related to passive fire protection (fire-resistant finishes, fire doors, compartmentation, etc.) and can apply them in construction projects.
* You preferably have knowledge of the “KB basisnormen ter preventie van brand en explosie” and can interpret and implement these requirements in project designs.
* You preferably have a basic knowledge of sprinkler systems, allowing you to follow and challenge technical designs and installation proposals from specialized partners.
* You have knowledge of FM and NFPA guidelines, which you use as reference frameworks for fire protection and sprinkler system design.
