Vinçotte is currently looking for an experienced Financial & Business Controller (M/F/X), with a focus on compensation & benefits, to join our Controlling team of the Finance department, reporting to the Head of FP&A and Business Partnering.
About the role
As Financial & Business Controller (M/F/X), your responsibilities will include the following:
Financial Planning & Budgeting
* Advise Senior Management on strategic compensation & benefits decisions using driver-based modelling, macroeconomic trends and KPI monitoring
* Drive end-to-end budgeting and forecasting across all compensation & benefits domains
* Deliver insights driven analyses to optimize spend, enhance efficiency and guide leadership decisions
Financial Controlling, Performance Monitoring & Reporting
* Serve as trusted advisor to the Head of Finance Operations and Head of FP&A, by acting as a key liaison between the Accounting and Controlling departments
* Manage end-to-end P&L and Balance Sheet controlling and reporting for all compensation & benefits matters, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all dimensions
* Partner with Business, Finance, HR and Procurement to ensure cost control and performance alignment
* Prepare executive material for Senior Leadership (ExCos, Board meetings, etc.)
* Lead interactions with external auditors on compensation & benefits related topics
Broad management support
* Conduct critical thinking with the Head of Finance Operations, Head of FP&A and the CFO to solve key issues
* Become a driving force within the team and be proactive in terms of solutions & ad-hoc problem solving
* Become involved with key Vinçotte projects (optimization, new ERP implementation initiative, etc.)
* Ensure development & maintenance of advanced Financial digital tools across the organization
Do you have what it takes?
Degree
: University degree - Master's degree from a reputable institution (Business, Economics, Finance or Engineering)
Experience:
Between 4-8 years of relevant experience in results-driven environments.
* Experience in advisory or audit firms (either big four or consulting) is a plus
* Experience in digitalization is a plus
Languages
: Fluency in French or Dutch (with a good command of the other language) and English
Skills:
* Proven problem solving capability & intellectual agility, both independently and in team settings
* Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
* Ability to manage big picture and details accurately and simultaneously
* Ability to conduct in-depth discussions with a wide range of stakeholders (incl. senior executives)
* Solid accounting knowledge - incl. IFRS - and payroll accounting mechanism knowledge
* Demonstrated positive attitude: Hands on & can do, ownership & accountability, flexibility.
* Solid communication skills (oral, written, presenting)
* Advanced knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint is a must – Experience in SAP and Power BI is a plus
