To support the digital transformation of our Business Unit, we are looking for a Functional Analyst. You will work with a team of about 10 people spread across different locations. You will combine working from one of our three offices (Mechelen, Ghent, or Hasselt) with remote work, and occasionally visit one of the other two offices. Your Responsibilities As a Functional Analyst, you play an important role in the transition of our software products. Your tasks and responsibilities include:
* Being part of an agile development team where timely delivery of high-quality software is a top priority.
* Focusing on several existing and new products and being involved in new initiatives.
* Learning the business jargon and building domain knowledge. You will get to know our customers and understand how our software helps them work more efficiently.
* Building strong relationships with various stakeholders in the company to efficiently gather and map information.
* Creating the necessary analysis models based on requirements.
* Explaining analysis deliverables to the development team, supported by clear reasoning for your choices.
* Explaining technical limitations to business users and providing training for new applications and features.
* Working with a team of about 10 people, primarily based in Hasselt.
Your Profile
* Master's level thinking or equivalent through experience.
* At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Fluent in Dutch and able to produce English documentation easily.
* Knowledge of accounting and tax domains is a plus.
* Familiar with traditional analysis methodologies and able to combine them in an agile development context. Capable of building a vision around delivering documentation and other analysis deliverables.
* Understanding of basic principles of testing and test automation.
* An open communicator who communicates respectfully.
* Proactive in communicating opportunities, risks, and issues to the Product Owner and Project Manager.
* Handles business requirements thoroughly. Listens to users and analyzes their problems before diving into solutions.
* Builds a set of methodologies, processes, and tools that can be standardized.
* Understands the technical aspects and limitations of software and can translate these for non-technical stakeholders.
* Able to turn abstract tasks into concrete actions and willing to take ownership of parts of a project.
* Acts as the link between the Product Owner and the development team. You are part of a winning team and share that mentality.
* Willing to support and train junior colleagues.
