Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced IT Desktop Support Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support to end users in an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SCCM administration and deskside support, along with exposure to server administration, virtualization, and application management. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to deliver high-quality technical support services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide on-site and remote desktop support to end users for hardware, software, and operating system issues.
2. Administer and manage SCCM for software deployment, patch management, OS imaging, and endpoint configuration.
3. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and enterprise applications.
4. Perform system builds, upgrades, and migrations.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
6. Support Active Directory tasks including user account management, password resets, and group policy troubleshooting.
7. Assist in basic server administration and infrastructure support activities.
8. Manage application deployments, updates, and issue resolution.
9. Provide basic support for virtual environments including VMware and Citrix.
10. Document incidents, service requests, and technical procedures in accordance with IT service management standards.
11. Collaborate with network, server, and application teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Required Skills and Experience
12. Strong hands-on experience in Desktop Support within an enterprise environment.
13. Proven experience working with Microsoft SCCM for patching, software distribution, and imaging.
14. Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting.
15. Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
16. Exposure to VMware virtualization technologies.
17. Basic understanding of server administration concepts.
18. Experience in application management and deployment.
19. Working knowledge of Citrix environments is an added advantage.
Qualifications
20. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
21. Relevant certifications in Microsoft technologies or IT support are preferred.
