People management | Dutch English | SME For one of our clients, Hays is looking for an Accounting Manager in Waregem: What you'll be doing:Lead and mentor the accounting team (7 accountants)Guarantee timely financial closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, both internal and legal.Manage customer credit effectively and optimize working capital.Coordinate audit processes and maintain robust internal controls.Contribute to projects focused on continuous improvement and digital transformation. What we're looking for:A master's degree in accounting or financeAt least 10 years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position within an international context.In-depth knowledge of IFRS and BE GAAP standards.Proven track record in financial closing, audit coordination, and tax compliance.Strong leadership skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a results-driven approach.Excellent analytical capabilities paired with advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP FI/CO).Proficiency in Dutch, English, and intermediate level of French.
