WHO MAY APPLY?

Hauptaufgaben

You will:

• Perform a variety of administrative and related duties.
• Serve as an administrative advisor to the DHR Director.
• Gather, assemble and analyze facts and present oral and written reports of compiled data.
• Analyze administrative and procedural changes contemplated by DHR or key subordinate operating and planning officials and advise the DHR as to their efficiency or feasibility based on prior experience or intimate knowledge of the process.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for the entire Garrison Award program (Honorary, Monetary, Time Off, and SpecialAwards), demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare official correspondence, narrative reports or other forms of correspondence; Interpret, prepare, and incorporate information and data in response to inquiries, problems or projects; review and edit documents developed by all garrison directorates on administrative matters prior to review and signature by the DHR for conformance with regulation and policies.
• Screen all incoming telephone calls for the DHR often emanating from high level officials from region.
• Be responsible for arranging all meetings, appointments and private discussions with reference to sensitive actions.
• Use various software packages to accomplish assignments, such as include text editing; file creation, maintenance, andretrieval; use of message, calendar, and suspense systems.


Qualifikationsanforderungen

At the BA-09:

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of experience in the same or a similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position, as described in the KSA's section. To be creditable, experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (BA-07).

Substitution of Education:

A Master degree (or equivalent) successfully completed in a related field (e.g. Sciences Administratives et gestion publique, Sciences commerciales ou gestion des ressources humaines, etc. ) is qualifying at the BA-09 level.

Foreign education must be evaluated for Belgian equivalency.

KSA's:

- Knowledge of English and French to present oral and written reports of compiled data.

- Skill in oral and written communication in order to effectively communicate taskings with staff, prepare written responses, conduct briefings, perform leadership duties, etc.

- Knowledge of the capabilities, operating characteristics, and advanced functions of a variety of types of office automation software and knowledge of similarities, differences, and integration of the different software types.

- Ability to handle calls and receive visitors with an extremely high degree of discretion, tact and diplomacy.

- Knowledge of Career Service recognition program and awards program.

- Ability to manage a calendar and to make travel arrangements

ORGANIZATION AND PLACE OF DUTY:

US Army in Belgium is an American government agency whose mission is to provide logistical and administrative support to the US personnel at NATO and SHAPE in Belgium.

DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER:

• Permanent, full-time (38 hours/week)
• Regular work schedule (Monday through Friday)
• Salary:
• From € 4,923.53 gross/month at BA-09

The Civilian Human Resources Service Center (CHRSC) will review each application and will refer candidates to the management official who will make the final selection. The SELECTEE will:

•Provide an extract of criminal record: "Modele 1". This document may be requested to the local resident registration office.
•Will pass a medical evaluation.
•Must successfully complete and maintain background checks.
