About the Role
We are seeking a freelance Consultant SAP IS-U (Medior) for a 12-month project based in Liège, Belgium. You’ll join our client’s digital core team, driving transformation in the utilities sector (electricity, gas, water). This is your opportunity to architect, configure, and optimize SAP IS-U solutions that directly impact how millions access essential services.

What You’ll Be Doing
Analyze business needs and propose robust SAP IS-U solutions
Lead and participate in Blueprint workshops with project managers, business stakeholders, and analysts
Design, configure, and implement SAP IS-U work packages and deliverables within project scope
Ensure thorough Unit Testing and System Integration Testing (SIT)
Define specifications and support interface development on SAP & NetWeaver (Product Owner side)
Maintain comprehensive documentation for all impacted modules (customizing guides, FRICE, etc.)
Support business analysts during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases
Assist in creating user documentation and training materials pre- and post-go-live
Guarantee the quality of deliverables and adherence to governance standards
Deploy SAP solutions from development to test and production environments
Provide hypercare support and user training as needed
Drive continuous improvement of SAP processes and solutions
Technical Skills & Experience Proven expertise in SAP IS-U (minimum 3 years, medior level)
Deep understanding of utilities sector business processes
Hands-on experience with key SAP IS-U modules: Billing & Invoicing, Device Management, EDM
Ability to write clear functional and technical documentation
Experience working for an electricity and gas distribution network operator
Experience with SAP upgrade projects (S/4HANA experience is a plus)
Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
Autonomous, rigorous, and customer-oriented mindset
Capable of working independently under the supervision of a senior consultant
French: B2 level (required)
