Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels, a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, is seeking an Inspector (Jet Engines) to strengthen our teams. The position is located at Brussels Airport (Zaventem & Steenokkerzeel, Belgium) and involves inspection, maintenance and repair (MRO) of advanced LEAP jet engines used in Airbus A320NEO and Boeing B737MAX narrow‑body families.
Responsibilities
* Perform visual and dimensional inspection on dismantled parts following applicable procedures.
* Assess parts (good as‑is, repair or scrap), modules, or engine in the ERP system and launch necessary actions.
* Apply appropriate materials, tools, and methods.
* Ensure traceability of work by administratively closing the completed tasks.
* Determine the future configuration of parts or modules.
* Conduct incoming inspection of parts after repair or of newly purchased pieces.
* Perform final inspection after internal repair.
Qualifications
* Superior technical secondary school degree (type A2) with strong foundations in mechanics and proven experience as an aeronautical technician, or a bachelor's degree in aviation with relevant experience in the field.
* Excellent knowledge of aircraft engines and proven experience as an Inspector.
* Stress‑resistant, responsible, flexible, and able to adapt to changing working conditions.
* Prioritizes quality and safety; proactive, capable of making decisions in urgent situations.
* Very good knowledge of technical English; some knowledge of Dutch or French and willingness to improve language skills.
* Willingness to work two shifts (6 am‑2 pm and 2 pm‑10 pm).
* Enjoys working in a team, in a multilingual environment, and supporting colleagues.
* Legally authorized to work in Belgium, holding either an EU passport or a valid work and residence permit.
