A Brief Overview
Lead the Testing and Quality Assurance efforts for banking applications initiatives and changes ensuring robust testing strategies and execution across core banking systems, digital platforms, and regulatory solutions. Deliver high-quality, compliant, and reliable software products, system upgrades and project implementations.
What you'll do
1. Lead the Testing and Quality Governance Framework for all bank initiatives and all application changes including transformation and strategic bank initiatives across all regions of the bank.
2. Lead the Governance and Oversight of the Testing and Quality discipline across all regions of the bank.
3. Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for all banking applications and initiatives.
4. Align testing efforts with business goals, regulatory requirements, and project timelines.
5. Define scope, objectives, and success criteria for testing phases.
6. Participate in the assessment, analysis and business requirement gathering of strategic and transformation initiatives.
7. Lead and mentor a team of Test Managers and testers.
8. Coordinate testing activities across functional, integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases.
9. Promote best practices and continuous improvement in testing processes.
10. Oversee execution of manual and automated test cases.
11. Ensure traceability of test cases to business and regulatory requirements.
12. Manage defects lifecycle and ensure timely resolution.
13. Present test metrics, risk assessments, and quality reports to stakeholders.
14. Work with partners, developers, business analysts, and product owners.
15. Ensure testing processes comply with internal audit, SOX, and external regulatory standards.
16. Promote timely completion of testing project deliverables by fostering a sense of urgency, while upholding rigorous quality standards and ensuring compliance with budgetary requirements.
17. Coordinate with third-party vendors for end-to-end testing.
Additional Responsibilities
18. Assist senior management as requested in preparation of reports, presentations, due diligence analysis and special projects.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need to Succeed
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required.
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience or a combination of academic preparation and experience in the following areas: Strategic Planning, Product Management, Project Management, Financial Analysis, Accounting, Marketing or other relevant financial or technology-related roles.
* At least 8 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in managerial role. Preferably, PMO Manager, managing resources, tracking project performance.
* Strong Business Management and technical experience, knowledge and skills.
* PMI-CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) are preferred.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
* Strong management, organizational, team building, coaching and mentoring skills.
* Mathematical skills - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
* Project management and project management methodologies.
* Knowledge of all operations lifecycle phases, like requirements definition, risk management, implementation, deployment, maintenance.
* Ability to function in an environment that requires flexibility, good judgment and sound decision-making often based on limited information and/or under extreme conditions.
