For a stable transport company with a modern workshop, we are looking for a mechanic who will help ensure that trucks and trailers are always in perfect condition before they go on the road. Your responsibilities ➡️Perform preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units ➡️Carry out repairs on brake systems, lighting, and minor bodywork ➡️Prepare vehicles for technical inspections ➡️Perform technical checks ➡️Optionally carry out diagnostics on trucks ➡️Work closely with drivers and colleagues from the transport department Wie ben jij? You have experience in vehicle mechanics or a technical education in mechanics, automotive technology, electromechanics, or a similar field. Junior mechanics, hobby mechanics, and experienced technicians are all welcome to apply. Motivation and willingness to learn are very important. You have technical insight and enjoy working on trucks, trailers, or other vehicles. You can perform maintenance and basic repairs independently after training. You are able to read and understand technical instructions or diagrams. You work accurately and safely, following technical procedures. You can work independently but also function well in a team. You are motivated to learn new skills and develop your technical knowledge. You are flexible with working hours and willing to work in a shift system and occasional Saturday mornings. You have communicative English skills, so you can understand instructions and communicate with colleagues. Opleiding : / Vakkennis : You have experience in vehicle mechanics or a technical education in mechanics, automotive technology, electromechanics, or a similar field. Talenkennis : Good knowledge of English Attesten : A CE driving licence is a plus, or you are willing to obtain it through the company. Wat bieden wij jou? Working hours: 05:00 – 12:30 and 13:00 – 20:30 Saturday morning (08:00 – 12:00, rotation system) Salary: €16.24 – €18.50/hour (depending on experience) Meal vouchers: €8 per working day Possibility of a permanent contract after a successful interim period
