Our client is an international technology company based in Belgium, operating within a highly innovative industrial environment and benefiting from a strong global presence.
They are currently looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer to join their EMEA IT team and take ownership of their Cisco enterprise network environment.
This is a key role within the regional IT structure, with a direct impact on the performance, stability, and security of the company’s network infrastructure across multiple sites.
Reporting directly to the IT Director EMEA, you will work closely with local IT teams as well as international colleagues across the US, UK, and China.
This is a hands-on senior-level position, ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with autonomy, proactivity, and a pragmatic approach. The successful candidate will be comfortable working on both strategic network projects and day-to-day operational troubleshooting when required.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Design, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN infrastructures across a multi-site environment
2. Implement and maintain network segmentation and NAC solutions (802.1X) to strengthen access control and overall network security
3. Administer, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco firewalls, switching, routing, and wireless platforms
4. Monitor network availability, capacity, and performance, and lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex network incidents
5. Contribute to the continuous improvement of network architecture, resiliency, security posture, and operational standards
Profile :
6. Minimum 5 years of experience supporting and developing enterprise-scale network environments
7. CCNP-level certification required, ideally with a focus on network security
8. Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching in production environments
9. Proven experience with NAC / 802.1X, wireless networking, and segmented network architectures in an international environment
10. Experience with Azure networking and hybrid connectivity would be a strong advantage
11. Fluent English is essential; Dutch / Flemish would be a strong plus
Salary & Benefits :
12. From €80,000 gross per year on 13.92 months (including 13th month and holiday pay)
