About the team
We are a partner-facing IT organization focused on supporting internal IT teams across various domains. Our work centers on three main areas:
First, we manage IT ecosystems for development platforms (such as Java, Mainframe, and mobile), integration platforms (including WebMethods and scheduling), and essential IT tools (like DevOps, GIT, Jenkins, Sonar, ArgoCD). This involves defining frameworks and standards for the use of these platforms and tools by other IT teams.
Second, we introduce and industrialize emerging technologies, such as IoT and robotic process automation (RPA).
Third, we provide solutions for IT process management, including tools such as ELK, Confluence, projwest, ServiceNow, UCMDB, and Omi.
Currently, there are several active projects involving IoT, field service management, DevOps, system decommissioning, RPA, and more. The team also collaborates closely with external software vendors and implementation partners.
Assignment
As a Solution IT Architect, you will contribute to the design and integration of IT solutions within the application landscape. You will collaborate on application architecture alongside a Business Architect at both enterprise and solution levels, following enterprise architecture and reference architecture guidelines.
In your projects, you will define solutions together with the Solution Business Architect and coordinate and guide software engineers. You will model solutions in ArchiMate using a centralized model repository and position them within the broader enterprise architecture landscape inspired by Togaf.
Main tasks
As a Solution IT Architect, you will be responsible for
Designing IT solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements, including performance considerations. You will help shape an application landscape that includes on-premise custom Java development, package solutions, and cloud applications.
Collaborating with the Solution Business Architect to create alignment and buy-in for solutions among stakeholders, project teams, and estimation experts.
Ensuring integration of solutions within the application landscape in alignment with other Business and IT Architects at enterprise and solution levels.
Identifying IT-related risks and architectural trade-offs to support stakeholders in making informed decisions.
Documenting architectural decisions using designated artefacts.
Participating in governance processes and attending established meetings and boards.
Coordinating and monitoring implementation activities carried out by software engineering teams.
